IP Company is out, under Ownership: every registered or announced IPv4 and IPv6 range with the organization that uses it. A row carries the organization's name, its own domain, the kind of organization it is and the country it's registered in, then the AS announcing the range with that network's name, domain and type.

The customer, not the carrier

Most organizations reach the internet through someone else's network. A hotel, a factory or a university department is announced by the telecom it buys its line from, so an AS lookup names the telecom. IP Company names the organization the block was assigned to:

In the October 9 build, 6,911,492 of the 11,043,220 ranges name an organization other than the network that holds the block: 3,791,377 distinct names on 458,652,792 IPv4 addresses. Where an operator keeps a block for its own subscribers, the row names the operator.

What's in it

11,043,220 ranges, 9,605,332 of them IPv4 and 1,437,888 IPv6, covering 3,675,541,236 IPv4 addresses under 3,894,490 distinct organization names. 77.9% of those IPv4 addresses carry the organization's own domain.

type takes the same five values as the ASN database, so a company's type and its network's sit side by side on one row: an education row under an isp AS is a school on a telecom's line.

Put this data to work.

Everything these posts report on comes from the databases we license, and you can test them first.

00 · Evaluate

Test the real build first.

An evaluation license puts a full current build in your hands — every row, every column, no sampling — so you can measure it against your own traffic before anyone talks about terms.

01 · License

Then license what you use.

Standard, for detection and decisions inside your own product and operations.
Redistribution, when the data ships onward inside what you sell — priced by scope, not by seat.
Annual terms, a named contact, and flexible payment terms — monthly, quarterly or yearly.
