# Domain DNS: each domain's A, AAAA, MX, NS and CNAME records

Domain DNS holds the A, AAAA, MX, NS and CNAME records of every generic-TLD domain and its www name, a file per record type, rebuilt weekly.

[Domain DNS](https://internetdata.io/databases/domain-dns) is out, under Domain: the A, AAAA, MX, NS and CNAME records of every domain registered under the generic TLDs, .se, .nu, .ee, .sk and a few smaller country-code TLDs, of their `www` names, and of widely used names under other country codes such as .uk, .de and .fr. Each record type is a file of its own, licensed and downloaded on its own, and all five are rebuilt weekly.

## A file per record type

| File | A row | Rows, October 25 |
|---|---|---|
| [Domain DNS A](https://docs.internetdata.io/database/domain-dns/domain-dns-a) | a name and an IPv4 address it resolves to | 465,971,752 |
| [Domain DNS AAAA](https://docs.internetdata.io/database/domain-dns/domain-dns-aaaa) | a name and an IPv6 address it resolves to | 126,358,893 |
| [Domain DNS MX](https://docs.internetdata.io/database/domain-dns/domain-dns-mx) | a name, a mail exchanger and its priority | 252,164,137 |
| [Domain DNS NS](https://docs.internetdata.io/database/domain-dns/domain-dns-ns) | a name and a nameserver it's delegated to | 653,435,475 |
| [Domain DNS CNAME](https://docs.internetdata.io/database/domain-dns/domain-dns-cname) | an alias and the name it points to | 120,091,929 |
| All five | | 1,618,022,186 |

Every file has `name` and `last_seen`, the most recent day the record was seen, so the five join on `name`. Rows from each:

| File | `name` | The record | `last_seen` |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | `beardbrews.com` | `3.33.251.168` | 2026-10-10 |
| A | `www.buybuy-center.com` | `198.185.159.144` | 2026-10-11 |
| AAAA | `charlie-cloud.net` | `2606:4700:3030::ac43:99c5` | 2026-10-11 |
| MX | `clabcomunicazione.it` | `10`, `alt3.aspmx.l.google.com` | 2026-10-10 |
| MX | `artekolsanat.xyz` | `0`, `.` | 2026-10-13 |
| NS | `hotshop.dev` | `carla.ns.cloudflare.com` | 2026-10-12 |
| CNAME | `www.acrecandleco.com` | `shops.myshopify.com` | 2026-10-14 |

An A or AAAA row's `ip` is always an address: a name under a CNAME lists the addresses its chain ends at, and the chain is in the CNAME file, a row per hop. An MX host of `.` is a null MX (RFC 7505), the domain saying it takes no mail.

A `www` name has A and AAAA rows only where its addresses differ from its domain's. On October 25, 205,654,369 `www` names resolved beside their domain, 173,500,406 of them (84.4%) to exactly the domain's IPv4 addresses, and those have no A rows. Every `www` CNAME stays in the CNAME file.

## Who hosts the sites and the mail

Of the 112,404,379 `www` names with a CNAME, 47,660,722 point outside their own domain, and the target's owner is the platform the site runs on, or the registrar parking it:

| `www` CNAME target | `www` names |
|---|---|
| Squarespace (`squarespace.com`) | 8,006,041 |
| Wix (`wixdns.net`) | 6,092,339 |
| Namecheap's parking page (`parkingpage.namecheap.com`) | 4,051,410 |
| Shopify (`myshopify.com`) | 3,774,089 |
| Hostinger (`hstgr.net`, `hostinger.com`) | 3,294,217 |
| Vercel (`vercel-dns.com`, `vercel-dns-017.com` and others) | 1,939,515 |

122,400,908 names publish MX records, and 13,902,639 of them only a null MX. By the owner of the mail exchanger:

| Mail exchanger | Names |
|---|---|
| Google | 17,851,510 |
| Microsoft (`outlook.com`) | 10,608,415 |
| GoDaddy (`secureserver.net`) | 8,502,249 |
| Namecheap (`registrar-servers.com`, `privateemail.com`) | 8,050,495 |
| IONOS | 4,885,614 |
| Hostinger | 3,041,414 |

In the NS file, 268,593,945 names are delegated, 47,878,120 of them to GoDaddy's `domaincontrol.com` nameservers and 42,086,028 to Cloudflare's.

## Getting access

Domain DNS ships as CSV, each file rebuilt weekly with its own docs page, linked in the table above. [Sign up](https://app.internetdata.io/auth/signup) to evaluate it from its sample. Each file is licensed on its own and never metered: see [licensing](https://internetdata.io/pricing), or [talk to us](https://internetdata.io/contact) about what you need. In [BigQuery](https://docs.internetdata.io/integrations/bigquery), the five are one product.
